LEGACY WOVEN IN TIME

In the snow-kissed valleys of Kashmir, a craft has been nurtured for centuries. The weaving of Pashmina — soft as a whisper, rare as a gem — is more than just an art form. It is a tradition, passed down from generation to generation, where every shawl is born of patience, devotion, and soul. At IndusWeavers, we honor this heritage by bringing these treasures to the world with purity, authenticity, and reverence.

JOURNEY OF INDUS WEAVERS

Two decades ago, Payal Aggarwal made Milan, Italy her home. Inspired by the city’s devotion to elegance, design, and timeless fashion, she dreamed of uniting Italian sophistication with the soulful artistry of Kashmir. That vision became IndusWeavers — a house dedicated to curating authentic, handwoven Pashmina shawls for admirers across Europe and beyond.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

The story of IndusWeavers is inseparable from the story of its founder, Payal Aggarwal.

Born in India, Payal grew up where textiles were more than fabric — they were stories of lineage and devotion. In her family, shawls were cherished heirlooms, and Pashmina was memory woven into thread.

Over twenty years ago, destiny took her to Milan, the global heart of luxury and design. Surrounded by elegance and craftsmanship, she carried with her the nostalgia of India’s artistry and soulful weaves. From this grew her vision: to unite Kashmiri heritage with Italian refinement.

In Kashmir, Payal connected with families of weavers whose mastery had been passed down through generations. Inspired by their stories, she built IndusWeavers not just as a brand, but as a way to preserve heritage, empower artisans, and celebrate authenticity.

HER PHILOSPHY OF LUXURY

For Payal, true luxury is not mass-produced. It does not shout with labels; it whispers with rarity, authenticity, and soul. Luxury is crafted slowly, with patience and integrity. It can be held, cherished, and passed on — an heirloom of beauty and meaning. Every shawl at IndusWeavers is hand-selected by Payal, chosen not only for its quality but for the story it carries. From the loom in Kashmir to the hand-painted box in Milan, each piece embodies her belief: that luxury is about human connection, timeless artistry, and the preservation of culture.

OUR VISION

To be the global custodian of authentic Pashmina and heritage weaves, preserving their purity while reimagining them as symbols of modern luxury. We envision a world where every IndusWeavers shawl is not just worn, but treasured as an heirloom, carrying forward the artistry of generations.

OUR MISSION

  • Preserve Authenticity : Offer only genuine, handwoven Pashmina sourced directly from Kashmir.
  • Empower Artisans : Sustain livelihoods and safeguard a craft perfected over centuries.
  • Elevate Luxury : Present each shawl as a work of art, accompanied by hand-painted keepsake boxes.
  • Celebrate Meaning : Ensure every piece tells a story of culture, craftsmanship, and timeless grace.

SUSTAINABILITY IN ROOTS

Sustainability at IndusWeavers is a commitment, not a trend. We work directly with artisan families, ensuring fair trade practices, ethical sourcing, and respect for generations-old techniques. Each Pashmina is made from the natural fibers of Changthangi goats, found only in the high altitudes of Ladakh, making them both rare and eco-friendly. Through slow luxury, we reduce waste and create pieces that endure for lifetimes.

HERITAGE MEETS LUXURY

Every IndusWeavers shawl is unique — no two are ever the same. Each piece embodies the legacy of Kashmiri craftsmanship, elevated with the refinement of Italian presentation.

From the weave itself to our hand-painted magnetic boxes, luxury lies in every detail, transforming your purchase into an experience of beauty, meaning, and soul.

DYNAMIC = INFINITY

Infinity is the appropriate symbol to represent the concepts of generation after generation. The ring in the centre symbolises the softness and finesse of Pashmina.
