Growing up, summer holidays often meant traveling to the northern regions of India with family. Those journeys introduced founder Payal Aggarwal to the landscapes, traditions and quiet beauty that would later shape the story of Indus Weavers. Pashmina was never reserved for special occasions, it was simply part of everyday life, worn through changing seasons and passed naturally from one generation to the next.
Over the years, carrying a Pashmina became second nature. Before leaving home, there was one familiar question her family would often ask:
"Where is your Pashmina?"
What once felt like an ordinary habit gradually became a lasting connection to Kashmir'scraftsmanship and heritage.
Years later, after making Milan home, Payal sawan opportunity to bring that heritage to a wideraudience. Combining her background in design with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, she founded Indus Weavers to bridge the timeless artistry of Kashmir with the understated elegance of European living.
