Handwoven in Srinagar over an extraordinary span of 24 to 36 months, this rare textile was created by master artisan Tasiya, whose work reflects a lineage of Kashmiri craftsmanship passed down through generations. Every thread of this shawl has been placed by hand on a traditional wooden loom; every motif has been patiently stitched using the revered Jamawar embroidery technique.
Crafted from 100% pure Changthangi Pashmina wool, sourced from the high plateaus of Ladakh, the fibre is among the rarest and finest in the world. The medium handloom weave achieves a balance of airiness and warmth — feather-light in drape, yet deeply insulating.
Across its 200 × 100 cm expanse unfolds a full Jamawar field of embroidery in nuanced tones of orange, beige, and soft blue. The motifs are not printed, nor mechanically reproduced. They are hand-stitched in a slow rhythm of devotion, forming a textile surface that feels closer to tapestry than garment.
This is not fashion.
It is textile heritage.
