LUMORA is a handwoven Jamawar Pashmina shawl crafted in Srinagar, Kashmir, distinguished by intricate Sozni embroidery extending across its entire surface.

Woven from 100% Pashmina, the shawl features an all-over composition of delicate motifs, each embroidered entirely by hand using traditional Sozni needlework. Its tight handloom weave and high thread count create a smooth, richly textured surface while preserving the natural softness, warmth and drape of Pashmina.

Crafted by artisan Malik over approximately 12–14 months, LUMORA brings together the intricate embroidery of the Jamawar tradition and the precision of Kashmiri craftsmanship.

What Sets LUMORA Apart

An Entirely Embroidered Composition
Unlike shawls with embroidery concentrated along the borders or corners, LUMORA features Sozni Jamawar embroidery across its entire surface. Its densely worked motifs create a richly detailed, tapestry-like composition.

The Precision of Traditional Sozni
Every motif is embroidered entirely by hand using traditional Kashmiri Sozni needlework. Crafted by artisan Malik over 12–14 months, the intricate composition reflects the time and precision required to develop its all-over design.

A Tight Weave, Rich in Texture
LUMORA's tight handloom weave and high thread count give the Pashmina its smooth, richly textured finish. The construction balances natural warmth and softness with an elegant drape.

100% Pashmina / Cashmere. (Authentic, has no mix of Viscose, Silk etc.)

Is this pure Pashmina?

Yes. Our pure Pashmina pieces are crafted from 100% authentic Pashmina, sourced from the exceptionally fine undercoat of the Changthangi goat native to the Himalayan highlands of Ladakh. Each product's material composition is clearly stated in its description.

Where is it crafted?

Every IndusWeavers Pashmina is meticulously handwoven and finished in Kashmir by skilled artisans, preserving generations of traditional craftsmanship. We work directly with our artisans, honouring their expertise and ensuring authenticity at every stage.

How can I recognise the handmade details?

The beauty of handcrafted Pashmina lies in its individuality. Subtle variations in the weave, texture and colour are natural characteristics of traditional handloom craftsmanship, making every piece unique.

Depending on the design, you may discover intricate Sozni hand embroidery, traditional Kani weaving or other heritage techniques, each reflecting the remarkable skill and patience of Kashmiri artisans.

Can I test its authenticity at home?

We do not recommend home authenticity tests, such as burning fibres or relying on the ring test, as these methods can damage delicate Pashmina and produce misleading results.

At IndusWeavers, we believe authenticity begins with transparency. If you would like to learn more about the materials, craftsmanship or origin of a particular piece, our team will be delighted to assist you.
